This reminds me of the GAME thing, though marginally bigger. It's always sad to see a company like this struggle; though if the PS4 and/or 720 don't play used games (which is a small possibility), then I can see all of these types of shops closing up.

Most gamers are staying away from GameStop? Is this a joke? As far as I know Gamestop is still the biggest gaming store chain by a massive margin.

Doesn't affect me one bit considering Amazon is way better than Gamestop.

Sad for the emplyees. The company itself though...fuck them. I won't buy their overpriced games nor sell any of my games to them if I can make at least 3-4 times more money at ebay.

I would find it sad if Ben got hit by it but if not....I don't really mind. More and more are buying digital content :).

GameStop exists in a weird limbo that makes it somewhat useless. It's not quite a secondhand game store, as demonstrated by its feverish attempts to unload GCN, Xbox, and now PS2 titles. And it's not quite a new game store, since so many of its games have been repackaged or plastered with stickers. Plus the games are less costly elsewhere.

I'm kind of surprised it's still operating at all. Web sites like Amazon and brick-and-mortar stores like GameXChange do what GameStop purports to do, but do it for real. And do it better.

I hope it is the GS in my City. Fuck the Asshole who runs mine. That would make me happy to see it close.
