Battlefield 4 to be announced within the next three months — will it come to Wii U?

Battlefield 3 was supposed to come to the Wii U. Then it didn’t. I’m not sure if Electronic Arts and Nintendo have the best of relationships, so I’m hesitant to suggest that Battlefield 4 would come to the platform, but the developers have said we can expect the game to be revealed within the next three months.

Developers love to neglect Nintendo gamers, so I wouldn't be at all surprised if they skip over the Wii U.

people let me put it this way. yes its not secret EA is going after CoD, and to do that they will make Battlefield 4 on every console CoD MW4 is on. so they will port the thing to PS3, Xbox 360 and WiiU. and the good looking tittles will be on PC, PS4 and nextbox

When they had competitive hardware and a optical drive(Gamecube), thirds still neglected them. It probably won't come, but, really, does anyone here buy consoles, specially a Nintendo one, to play multiplatform games? That's what i have my PC for, better graphics, many controller options and free online. I would love if the Wii U was another Wii, few multiplatform games, but many third-party exclusives.

I would too, only the SNES brought me more fun than the Wii. Of course, if it had the SNES's combination of great first AND third party support, that would be even better, but I'd more than happily sign up for the quality of exclusives we got on Wii.

For the record, I'd rather stick a cactus up my nose than play an online FPS, so BF4 isn't high on my "gotta play" list. XD Unless it has an awesome campaign that is, but after BF3 I'm not getting my hopes up.

I doubt it. Just accept that a Nintendo console is primarily for nintendo first party titles, if you want the third party games pick up a PS4/Nextbox/PC instead of sitting there hoping the wiiu will get a few ports here and there.

If you want the best of both worlds having only a Nintendo console will not fulfill that.

It's hard to say what'll happen with it. Rumour is that Battlefield 4 is going to be on the Wii U - the rumour originating from August last year:

But given EA's attitude towards the Wii U, I wouldn't be surprised if they just said "nope" and decided to cancel all work on it, not for any other reason than that EA haven't learnt from their mistakes of the previous generation.

The best of both worlds would be strong third party support AND Nintendo's games, so there's no system that can fulfill that, at least until PCs can emulate the Wii U perfectly... XD (Which I expect to be quite some time!)
