@ OP it's just the hype dude to Sony's recent announcement for the PS4 unvail, all the talk is focused around that. MS will get thier shine soon enough, no one thinks anyone won anything yet. No battle lines will be drawn until we have a concrete info from both and what they plan to bring

In all seriousness it is because the next generation for Sony is finally starting. Up until now predictions for gen8 have been merely a reflection of gen7. For example Nintendo was expected to die and Sony was expected to dominate back in 2005 because that is what happened in gen6. For the same reason people are expecting Microsoft to dominate Sony since that's what happened early this gen.

Now everything changes. Everyone starts with a clean slate and so far with only 44 seconds of video Sony is starting their gen8 perfectly.

did i say life to date? no.. DS did better, it took ds almost 7 years to do over 150mil where ps2 took over 10

Because Sony Fans always think with every new console Sony releases that the destroy every one else, it was the same as Sony released the PS 3 and at the releas of PS Vita Sony Fans also thouht it would destroy the 3DS.
