Forums - Sony Discussion - PS4 & vita bundle what if ??

Say if sony sold the PS4 alone, and came out with the vita bundled with the PS4 for 150 more dollars who would buy it,
i think i would buy it for 150 more bucks

VITA 32 GIG CARD.250 GIG SLIM & 160 GIG PHAT PS3

Hmm, I don't know about that, there's a reason the Vita is selling poorly. Its aimed completely wrong and mostly towards home console owners and gamers, who will get their kicks from their actual home console in big picture and audio format and with better controls and more media functionality on top.
The way I see it, if you own a PS3, there's no reason to own a Vita and if you want a handheld gaming device you buy a 3DS or (for casual gamers) a smartphone or a tablet.

There simply is no market for the Vita to sell in, the bad sales is no mystery.

I think that's silly and unrealistic. A more possible bundle is the Ps3 with the Vita at $299 while the Ps3 slim alone drops to $199.

Currently own:

  • Ps4

Currently playing: Witcher 3, Walking Dead S1/2, GTA5, Dying Light, Tomb Raider Remaster, MGS Ground Zeros

Sure. I hope the PS4 can utilize the Vita as a gamepad to mimic the WiiU. ( which would then be optional and add incentive to get a Vita)

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

I'd buy it for sure, it will be interesting to see what vita does with the ps4. If it's highly functional that I'd assume many would buy it. but it couldn't hurt to offer both systems in one package.

Then the PS4 would be doomed.

 Yeah, bundle a 249$ handheld with a 499$ console.

750 US dollars!!!!

Bad idea.

Sony would still lose money if they cut the price on the bundle.

The best thing they can do for the Vita is give it the option to stream PS4 video stream (playing your PS4 games on the Vita screen and controls) to it so you dont have to use the TV constantly. They would have to incorporate the L2 and R2 buttons on the rear pad though.

That would be me for sure

It would be very bad for the vita reputation ( worst than now )

So Bad idea, the vita is an excellent console with a lot of great games, not an PS4 option.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m
