Even if the Vita never got another vote this month, it would still be the second best month on record for it, and about double last month's score. And at the current rate, it can shoot for being the #1 platform of the month. It's almost as big as the 3DS and Wii U combined. It's rise has been sudden to say the least.

Just as fascinating is the performance of individual games. Killzone Mercenary has had a dramatic increase, even by the Vita's high standards. Pokemon X/Y is doing very well, and is in 3rd place. Conversely, GTA5 is doing relatively poorly, below Tearaway even when combining platforms.

I don't expect these changes to be as pronounced in the final results. A lot of Nintendo fans in particular vote later in the month. But for the Vita to be doing so well so suddenly is very eventful.

I want to give Gears of War some credit, but it just doesn't deserve it. I know nothing about the game except it's a Gears of War Prequel. What makes this game better then Gears 3? What scares me is that the makers of Bulletstorm are behind this game (a game which I think sucked badly), so if anything, it will be the worst in the series. Others agree judging at pre-order numbers. Bad way to end the 360....


My votes changed dramatically with Nintendo Direct las month. Will Sony's Press Conference on February 20th change my list of votes as well? The Last Guardian could soar up my list if we had some definitive news about it.

Can you please change your vote? I consider different versions of Pokemon in the same genration released at the same time to be the same game. I'm a fan of the series, but this is the best way to invent artificial inflation of numbers.
