I bought 3 games for the Wii U so far. So that covers me and 2 other consoles. What is the game attach rate. Hold up I will just go look.

Well then, what Reggie said should be true then. However, was there not a thread where somebody said that one game did not cover up the loss they made/console?

Price drop won't happen until at least fall. More likely not until Spring 2014. They have I'm sure a lot of options to lower the cost of manufacturing so that Iwata doesn't have to resign or whatever just because of a rough couple of years.
I really doubt it. The controller can't be that expensive.
Also, Mike already showed where his reasoning failed so nothing else to add.

It's probably MORE than that since 3DS, DS, Wii, software all made a profit.

Isn't there also stuff like R&D, advertising and general costs to factor in? Unless they already broke down those and I'm not seeing it.
Even if you are right, how can this even be the case? With that level of hardware the Wii-U would be profitable releasing three years ago. Unless the controller really is like $150 to manufacture... a little less than the manufacturing costs of an iPad by the way. For how much those are even selling?
If you look at software. There is only 1.56 million nintendo lands sold, lets just say all of these are bundled. Meaning the remaining 3.3 million games sold have made the wii U profit, considering there are only 2.47 million systems sold. So we are all good if they only need to sell one game making the system profit and actually they are up by almost a million.
To have one or two games cover your loss on the console, then the loss may not be that important when and if SW sales rise with a better flow of games beggining March. Not to mention that big games are coming from Nintendo.
