This is more of a question than a comment or an opinion, but does anyone know how the Wii U compares to the Xbox 360 when it launched? 

The Xbox 360 when it launched didn't exactly perform the best, but after 2007 sales seemed to improve considerably.

Is the Wii U comparing favorably to the Xbox 360 sales week for week since launch, or is it under performing?  Does anyone know?

Both sucked for a while, Xbox picked up after Gears.

WiiU needs the Mario/Zelda. (I'm still hoping "X" becomes a system seller for some, after how good Xenoblade was I want Monolith to surpass it.)

Looking at the chart Wii U seems to be doing better than either the PS3 or 360 on a worldwide scale but I could be reading that wrong. Then again everybody is selling slow right now, give it time

On a weekly basis, Wii U is sucking. However it's launch was 4th behind the DS, Wii and PSP.......I think Wii U just needs some software.

360 was a graphical beast when it came out, Wii U feels like an alternative to the PS360...

Keep in mind that the 360 was relatively supply constrained at this point in its life. It took till about March until there was amply supply, iirc.

Hope Wii U picks up by March. It should explode in Japan with DQX.

DQX won't push Wii U sales, it pretty much has its full player base with the Wii already, with not much reason to upgrade console. Also DQX is one of the worst and also worst selling in DQ series, mostly because nobody wanted an MMO. Squeenix just didn't learn from Final Fantasy did they?
