I doubt this will matter.

Unless they have an ecosystem with apps and a real browser... its going to be DOA. More than likely the bad taste its left in everyone's mouth as compared to really anything else out there will make it DOA.

The browser is supposed to be excellent.

RIM is dead. They no longer have any significant advantages while they have plenty of disadvantages compared to iOS and Android.

People addicted to Rim's physical keyboards. Not the biggest thing but it does play a role. Also it would  be interesting how they price the product. Not everyone gets their phone on contract around the world.

Have you seen or used BB10 yet?

Nope, and I probably never will... Just like 98% of the rest of the public.

That ship sailed long ago. There's no way RIM wins back any significant market share. iOS and Android are simply too good and move too fast. RIM doesn't have the resources to fight this battle.

If Microsoft and their piles of cash can barely break a 4% share, what on earth makes anyone think RIM has a shot at this?

more on Rocketpig's post... even every large corporation that utilized RIM has either already moved away or is in process of it.

I work at a large defense contractor... very large. This year they moved 100% to iOS and with a secondary option to bring your own phone so long as your willing to have software installed that can wipe it remotely. My friend works at IBM... they are doing the same right now.

RIM has lost all customer confidence and every executive wants iOS or the option to use whatever the employee wants.

So they have lost the regular consumer as well as the business consumer. They will be bankrupt soon and sell their remaining patents to others. Only WP will remain as a 3rd option soon and if Win8 doesn't pick up, it may begin to lose OEM support.

Yep, exactly. The moment RIM started to lose enterprise, it was game over. Android and iOS are going to scrap over the consumer market and Microsoft is a wild card but when it comes to clawing back into the enterprise market, Microsoft is holding all the cards and RIM will be left out in the cold.

Don't necesarilly want them to go bankrupt, but I'll be sticking to Samsumg Galaxy or a Nokia Lumia for the foreseeable future.
