I have just finished chapter 2, and have been doing the side missions as they pop up. Holy smokes I am in love. Honestly, the soundtrack is phenomenal and it is something that I wish BoTW had more of. The Champion Revali theme has been in my head all day. So good. I have to say, this particular artstyle and world is becoming a favourite of mine (Zelda's design already was my favourite of hers in the franchise). I am so ready for the rest of this game. It is also making me love Breath of the Wild more, because even though it isn't one of my favourite Zelda games, I love the characters and what story there is. Also not having to worry about weapons breaking is awesome!

I feel like this will be similar to Link's Awakening though in terms of sales... Didn't that game ship 3 million in its first month of release and only 1.3 million since then? I dunno, I would love to see it hit 5 million.

Love this post and agree whole-heartedly with everything you’ve said! I’d love to see this game do really well.

Happy 34th birthday to Zelda II!

Zelda II launched in Japan on January 14, 1987.

I've been thinking of finally playing through this after watching the Game Grumps series about Zelda II. When you think about it Zelda II was really ambitious at the time.

Also, I've been wondering about going back into Breath of The Wild to find the last of the Korok Seeds,

Spoiler!
even though it's now widely known your reward for doing so is a big golden turd.

Is it worth it anyway?

I don’t think it’s worth it - they really weren’t designed to all be collected, that wasn’t the point of them and as you say, the reward is... it’s something.

Just on a different note, I’m so glad there isn’t a trophyesque system on Nintendo because it it were, I guarantee this would be a trophy that I’d just have to get but it would’ve been such a waste of time and ruined my experience with the game. Could say “well, don’t just go after trophies, then” and that is sound advice and is obvious, but I get hooked on getting that little trophy jingle and seeing my score go up. Sad man that I am.

Can't say much about something that was already debunked the same day it appeared :P

Also, spelling error "available" there + no Switch Logo in the other corner.

Honestly, I'm just waiting the title drop to litteraly be Breath of the Wild 2 so that peeps stop with the title guesses xD

And why are the fakes always at an angle?

Yeah if you are in the position to make such a photo you can also just make it straight. I agree the name would actually be decent and is believable, though I’d need to get used to it, but the typo and the lack of a Switch logo are huge red flags.

Age of Calamity has shipped 3.5 million units worldwide, as of the end of December 2020. That makes it the best-selling Musou game ever!

Check out this Kickstarter trailer for The Girl from Arkanya:

Definitely has a lot of 2D Zelda DNA in it.

3.5M for Age of Calamity is a lot. Exceeds a whole slew of actual Zelda games. The Breath of the Wild name really elevates Zelda sales, can’t wait to see what it’ll do for BotW’s real sequel.
