I'm very much enjoying this game. Indeed, I'm enjoying it so much, I think that Nintendo should try to work some of this sort of gameplay into Zelda U.

It's certainly not a perfect game, in that I could immediately think of some ways that it could be made even better... but I'm having to make the conscious decision to stop playing in order to sleep, after I've started playing on a night. If I don't watch myself, I'll stay up until much later than intended. It's that sort of game - the "just one more" type game.

That's great to hear

What Hyrule Warriors gameplay would you like to see integrated into Zelda for WiiU?

A lot of it, actually. It could perhaps be on a smaller scale, with the "maps" turned into a kind of grand puzzle as well as a battle. Would really make some of the overworld more interesting, and dungeons could work with a variation on that.

The parts I wouldn't want (other than the obvious, such as the menu 'overworld') are the distinct "stages" (I want a feeling of the entire world being just one large land, rather than distinct pieces as with previous games including Hyrule Warriors), the focus on battle-based objectives (I'd rather see the battling be a means to an end, rather than an end in itself), and the disjoint movesets (you shouldn't be restricted to only one main weapon). Also, secondary items (like arrows, boomerang, etc) shouldn't be relegated to an awkward secondary function, for obvious reasons.

On the other hand, I really like the feel of attack combos, etc, that arises from three different main attack commands (plus a dodge command), an item-attack button, and then a magic button. It gives the fighting a more dynamic feel. I also like the somewhat over-the-top action (Zelda titles have been pretty restrained on this front). Basically, the style of fighting in HW is what I think Zelda titles should aim for, although the format should be adjusted.

For the record I stop by my local Gamestop like every other day... And I always see people checking or playing Hyrule Warriors out on the Wii U... They be like "WHAT system is that for"? When they hear Wii U they usually pause with a surprised expression to the face and then they be like "It's still whack"...

Nintendo is making a bigger Dent people!!

Got Hyrule Warriors on launch day but I've yet to play it. Too busy replaying A Link to the Past. God I love that game.

The game is good! Hyrule looks good! I am only 5 missions in and a few free/legend/adventure mode played.

Adventure mode it is quite challenging from the start.

Switch!!!

I think I'm going to wait now for the first comprehensive FAQs. Not knowing which conditions to meet for A rank or even the second skulltulas in legend mode is killing me right now.

Quick question guys,

How do I use all new DLC costumes I have received?

I have, Ocarina of Time set, Demon King set, but no where to select that in the game.
Help!!!!

Here's my experiences so far:

After 1-2 hours of playing I was just confused. I hated the game and considered selling it. If you're a newbie to the DW franchise (as I am) it completely overwhelms you with concepts and tasks. You're still trying to figure out the controls, and meanwhile the game yells at you to do 3 things at once, minimum. It doesn't give you any idea of the priorities though, and as a result I had a constant feeling of doing it wrong.

Not willing to give up I played some more battles and read some tutorials, and now I'm starting to get the hang of it. Also the default Zelda mode controls are not ideal I think, but you can change them (I didn't like the triggers setup).

So now I'm looking forward to playing it! Music and cutscenes are impressive, and once I accepted that it's not a full Zelda game (not trying to be either) it becomes fun. The familiar settings and characters / enemies still give it a strong Zelda feel - it's like you get to play the battle / war parts of a Zelda story that you'd normally just hear about in an opening cutscene.
