Stop quoting him guys.

It's pretty clear that the Wii U needs more than a kick-ass Direct show. We can't play promisses, as good as they might look. I think Nintendo needs to start a promotion right about yesterday or the U will hit rock bottom in about 2 weeks. How about getting a Wii U for free with every 3DS purchase? That should do the trick LOL

Ongoing bet with think-man: He wins if MH4 releases in any shape or form on PSV in 2013, I win if it doesn't.

Yeah I know... I just had to make ONE comment directly to him...

I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

Although you were half joking (I'd gladly get two systems for $200 :p), I think you do bring up a good point.

As balls-to-the-wall as that Nintendo Direct was, proving that they're going all in...a lot of the games announced didn't even get solid release dates. Next-gen Zelda, Yoshi, X, Smash Bros 4, 3D Mario and Mario Kart all have the potential to push more units, but only after people have an idea as to when they're coming out.

I think there are a lot of people who have already bought the Wii U anticipating that stuff. It's not like they weren't coming out at all. I agree with Metallicube; we won't have a good sense of how the system is doing until people can actually play that stuff.

360 selling more than Wii+Wii U combined, this is awesome. :D Wii U selling less than 40k, gotta love those numbers.

No, I don't "gotta love those numbers" becuase I am a Nintendo fan. What a stupid thing to say..

You are a pretty sad human being if you are seriously that happy about your preferred piece of plastic beating on your hated piece of plastic. I don't care if this gets me banned either because its worth it.

I totally agree with, but just let him be. He's a sorry excuse of a gamer, and nothing we say or do will change that. don't bother with this one.

Im not sure why he hasnt got banned yet. He is running amuck in this thread wth the sole purpose of pissing off people. It baffle me that a person can stoop so low.

Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

PS3 triples WiiU. My prediction continues doing very well

Almost triple is not triple.

It is when you round to the nearest whole number

The nearest "whole number"?

I can tell you are no good at maths.

Nobody buys half a console.

I just directly translated what it's called from Icelandic. It outsold WiiU 2.86:1 this week. It's so close that it is basically 3:1

Sorry, you are right. I thought you were rounding up before making your calculations. Either way, almost triple is not triple.

Wii U Nintendo Network ID, Borode

XBOX Live ID, Borode

Mario Kart for the Wii U can't come quickly enough!

That's...kind of pedantic isn't it? You're really going to keep ragging on him for being off by 1%?

On topic: It looks like DMC hitting it's 2 million or more target is going to be tough. We'll have to see how all of Europe holds up, though.

Sad numbers for all the platforms, except the 3DS.
And next week the PS3 could even be under 100k...

Wow, terrible numbers all around. The 3DS is the only thing selling decently, and I'm sure these Wii + Wii U numbers will give Nintendo a heart attack. No way in hell are they making their hardware predictions now.

Expected big drops for the PS360, Vita is flailing about like a drowning crash test dummy with CP, Wii joins the PSP's hallowed sales-shelf and the Wii U continues to dive.

The Wii U though, it really is the elephant in the room; people were somewhat careful in their predictions but still optimistic, there was talk about the "best launch line-up a console has ever had", the gamepad being genius, promises of 3rd party exclusives, online functions and Mii-verse being selling points, NSMB U to help drive sales and a release in the best time of year, the fact that it beat the 360's and PS3's launches were also sure signs it was headed for glory.

I don't think anyone, hand over heart can claim that the Wii U is still "doing very well", these numbers are cause for worry. Like I've said in the past two-three weeks; not spelling doom but could be the forerunner for something eerily similar, selling about 45% of the nearest competitor in its 8th year and about 11k above the one console that has been ruled completely dead by consensus is not good news for anyone, especially when Nintendo seem almost oblivious to the situation on the whole.

One thing is for sure; this year's summer numbers will be mind numbingly boring for all of us...
I still expect announcement of new xbox and playstation sometime late Q1 or in Q2, this will drive the proverbial final nail in the 7th generation's coffin towards the fall season. Here's hoping for a new console cycle with all three major manufacturers on the market as soon as possible, I hate the end of a generation.
