North Korea can't launch a carrot at the United States. They can barely feed their own people.

North Korea doesn't care about their own people. That's one of the reasons why they don't feed them.

South Korean here, lately not even we care about the crap NK claims they will do.

Did you know we send over balloons to drop CDs full of K-pop, packages of chocolate and such over there?
We do a bunch of crazy things ourselves. I really don't think this new guy knows how to threaten people.

It'll be interesting to see what comes of this especially if they plan on this testing taking place mid- February. I don't think too many people are worried at the moment but I don't see them changing their ways ever and eventually something will come of it.

They use the threats as a negotiating position for aid. NK are not actually suicidal; if they demonstrated the ability to hit the US, or of nuclear weapons, the US would level their country.

Of course they can't lauch a carrot. It would be eaten.

Why would North Korea do this, what is it proving by bombing America? It's probably as meaningless a threat as the US backed sanctions are on North Korea

Posturing and making empty threats, like for the last 60 years.
