What a coincidence, I was just watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YydkLxGGjL4

Haha, what? Nope. Actually I think the USA have done among the worst, at least in the CO2 area.

German o.O

Yeah, we really pushed renewable energies. Good for the environment, bad for our wallets. Energy prices explode here.

Uh no, america and China are still the largest polluters in the world.

Yeah I remember seeing Germany going for a combination of renewable energy and nuclear fission. Seems like it paid off.

As for the US, its still one of the highest contributors of greenhouse gases as shown by that chart. I remember USA not taking part in the Kyoyo Protocol. Plus the it even contributed to an overall increase in the radiation count of the entire world (although minute) from all the nuclear weapons testing and use it has done over the years. So I don't know what you are talking about.

No country can ever do enough to protect the environment, although any effort must be done on a global scale to work. Convincing China and India and other developing countries to use less fossil fuels will be difficult

And unlike America, China is not even one of the largest polluters in the world if the size of the population is taken into account. Which is the only thing that makes sense, because it's completely pointless to compare the total emissions of countries like USA (300 million people) or China (1400 million people) with countries like Luxembourg that have 0.5 million people, unless you just want to fool people with numbers and statistics.

And in the case of China, even the emissions per capita are not perfectly comparable to other countries. Because China is a very export-oriented country producting goods for other countries - so the chinese products that people in America or Europe buy are accounted to China's pollution, while the consumers over here buying these goods are the ones actually responsible for the pollution.

Seriously?

Link? Any proof?

Or perhaps they are forcing you to put plastics in another can? Oh, the horror, America suffers too much! D=
