well, win8 can't run on ARM based systems though, that's why they developed winRT, which looks like win8 but isn't |
That's the same thing as saying OSX and iOS aren't the same, when they are the same libraries compiled against a different processor architecture. While I haven't dug into Windows 8 Development, I'm betting the OS is largely the same.

Whoa now, only the Sony faith is composed of radicals.
(Id pick 343 over Turn 10).
I had this lovely indignant angry response typed up and then I clicked the link >_>
*sigh* it makes a point. I'll allow it.

Nah, Id pick turn 10 over 343, 343 is a newbie developer you gotta atleast wait 5 years to pick them over turn 10.
Naughty Dog is a Sony-owned studio. It is never going multi-platform unless you count Vita. Uncharted is also a Sony-owned IP.

uh, no, that is not correct. Microsoft bought bungie, ips and all.
What happened was a lot of the developers at bungie wanted to move on, either wanting to do something different or just get away from the microsoft corporate attitude. Either way, Microsoft was faced with a choice of letting the studio buy themselves and becoming independent or letting the majority of the talent walk and having the studio become a shadow of their former selves.
Obviously, Microsoft opted to let them walk, but as part of the deal bungie signed a 2 year exclusive contract with them, and I think timed exclusivity on their new ip.

hmm, interesting. Thank you. I thought it was bungies choice and not microsofts. I knew that bungie didnt want to do halo anymore and that was the issue but yeah thank you for pointing me in the right direction :)
