Lol doesn't matter what they show at E3 you guys. 2 brand new next gen consoles...you think anything Nintendo shows will outshine the PS4 or Xbox 720? I highly doubt it.

Maybe you could point us where the OP said  Nintendo will outshine PS4720 this E3.

OP: Glad to see you liked Ben, still be careful. We  don't know the release date for most of the games. Bayonetta and Monolith's game are likely to come until next year.

Maybe you should read some of the comments. Some people are saying Nintendo has no games to announce at E3 and it will be boring while others are saying they will have the most epic E3 with Mario and Zelda and the usual Nintendo innovative games.

amazing news today!!

buying WiiU with or without 3rd party support anyway, but not till i have the budget hahah :P

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

Fire Emblem was nice.
New Zelda is still at least 2 years away; already played Wind Waker so I am not interested.

Yarn of Yoshi is pretty cool; harkens back to the SNES days but looks like a modern day Toy Story.

Smash Bros is probably due for next spring.

I do not like 3D Mario too much either, but I am very eager to see the limits it pushes graphically; The Monolith "X" title was a good warmup to what Wii U can do.

No megatons were dropped, and Wii U will still struggle in sales past E3 2013, but it is a nice showing. It is up to 3rd parties now to come in and show what they have to round out the future lineup of the console.

Leatherhat on July 6th, 2012 3pm. Vita sales:"3 mil for COD 2 mil for AC. Maybe more. "  thehusbo on July 6th, 2012 5pm. Vita sales:"5 mil for COD 2.2 mil for AC."

The monolith game is a must buy from what i've seen so far.

So yeah depending on how that game actually turns out...its the game that sold me!

It certainly got me hyped. All the things they said they'd show at E3... Man, I can hardly wait :D

Today has seriously increased my confidence in Wii U if nothing else.

I was quite skeptical prior to owing one and had no intention of getting a Wii U at launch, luckily someone else had other ideas. Owning a Wii U changed my mind completely - having a WW remake is just the cherry on top.

I'd go with the latter. If they have managed to keep wind waker hd secret what else do they have? Nintendo are way better at keeping secrets then the other two so you can expect a shock.

Something to note though = between the shock I got from bayonetta 2 in september and their storm of games today I have to say nintendo directs will probably trump whatever they have at e3.

One more thing to complete my year = senran kagura localization =D

I think Nintendo really has a chance to steal E3. First off, I don't have very much confidence in Microsoft or Sony. Hardcore gamers are expecting a show that caters exclusively to them, but I don't think that will happen, at least not from Microsoft. Look at Microsoft's past few E3s. Microsoft will typically announce one new game from an established franchise, third party stuff, and tons of casual crap. They spent most of their E3 last year talking about Smartglass (remember Smart Glass?) and having Usher dance.

Sony is a little better at E3. They don't tend to do many big announcements (the last big thing I can remember is Twisted Metal) but they usually at least focus on games (and sometimes Wonderbook). I'm more concerned about the PS4 itself. Sony's recent track record in terms of hardware has been spotty at best. The PSP Go and Move showed a real lack of understanding their market. The PS3 was a slow starter, and few will forget its legendarily poor E3 showing. The Vita is still struggling to find its footing.

I feel like people are getting overhyped about what Sony and Microsoft will show, and the reality won't match their expectations. Meanwhile a lot of people are (or were) looking past Nintendo and with those low expectations, they might wind up being very surprised. If Nintendo shows off Mario Kart, Super Mario 3D, Smash, and has a couple of surprises (Retro and Miyamoto's new projects?) they could steal a lot of the thunder from their competitors.

3D Mario, SSB, Mario Kart, Retro's game, Bayonetta 2, more about MonolithSoft's game, that crossover game, and whatever else they'll have. Yeah, Nintendo has basically nothing for E3.

Sure the other will be unvieling new consoles, but Nintendo will be showing off a wave of second gen software. They aren't at any disadvantage so lol to you too.

When did I say they have nothing? Please enlighten me. I said due to the next gen consoles being showcased at the next E3 it is very unlikely that Nintendo will even cause a blimp on the radar. Now this is me speculating but if Sony and Microsoft bring out the big guns and announce titles such as Killzone 4 and Forza Motorsport 5 for the next gen systems (plus many other games) I highly doubt people will be paying the most attention to Nintendo.

What are you on about? This Nintendo direct has been highly recieved and now that we for sure know what is coming from Nintendo's side and still stuff yet to be announced. There is nothing but hype from here on in to Nintendo's E3. As for Sony and Microsoft, besides new consoles. It's all about what games they can show to prove why we need to buy their consoles.

This nintendo direct was better than all of e3 last year

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.
