I see nothing wrong with this thread. We have different forum sections for a reason.

Didn't know you were gay. It changes everything.

It's an orientation - just like left handedness. You can't 'cure' an orientation cause it is not a disease or disorder.

You can stop someone from having sex, but they are still a homosexual.

Some Religions have weird obsessions about people - they used to beat left handed people so they would use the right hand, or keep women from voting and working. Currently some are attacking homosexual people and their families. I think it's mostly people struggling to accept their own orientation.

They only person that really cares about someone else orientation, is the person that wants to sleep with them. Or the person that wants to keep them from sleeping with someone else. It says more about you. When people aren't hurting others, let people live their lives.

PS I have personally known people that have going to 'cure homosexual therapy' and it really messes people up. It is wrong, immoral and really sad.

Happy =/= Normal. How do you know you're normal Biologically?

Not to be offensive, but everyone is abnormal in some way. Some people have irrectile disfunction, some people have obsessive compulsive disorder, some people will grow up and develop altzimers. Are any of these people normal? Only socially, as these are accepted conditions which don't make you any less of a person. Biologically all 3 of these people have something wrong with ither their geneitcs, or an imbalance of chemicals, or have a psychological disorder. All 3 are not normal, just accepted, there is a difference.

Would you accept the above conditions as abnormal, or are they normal just like you? If you consider the above 3 conditions abnormal, but still view homosexuality as normal, what's the difference?

This would put homosexuality in a group with other things like Aspergers and ADHD. Of course, parents have the legal right to administer drugs to control these things.

Another question is (if the drug has no effect on heterosexuals), would we be seeing parents administering said drugs before any signs of homosexuality appear as a "just in case" cause? Should such drugs ONLY be allowed to be administered to people once they are over 18 and not parents? Would parents feign homosexuality in an effort to get said drugs to give to their kids?

What? Why do you think this would push a mandatory procedure? If you're schizophrenic, a serious psychological disorder, you're legally allowed to refuse treatment. Only when you become Dangerous are you committed (sent to a hospital so that medication can be forced upon you).

Why would homosexuality, a significantly less dangerous condition, be any different?

I agree in a sense. My dad was left-handed, and in school the teachers used to whack kids on the hands with a cane who used their left hand, so he was forced to use the right hand. He can use either now, but the ordeal left him with nervous ticks and twitches for the rest of his life.

I'm left handed too. I'm just glad I wasn't born in a similar time of such intolerance...
