I guess it is so "out there" I should have put  alink to the article, from about three years back.

Seriously I don't even think someone insane who's seen an RTS will say that and this man is making money off his knowledge? His dad or grandad must have been the former head of the Illuminati or something, holy shit.

Pachter is not paid to give the public free investment advice. I like the idea he's paid to influence the news cycle to make stocks move. He's a smart guy and knows when he's saying wrong or outrageous things.

I actually question this part, if stocks move too his advice the'd be a alot of broke stock holders and companies about about but then again we are in a recession.

His public, free "advice" is not the same as his firm's thousand-dollar investment reports you'd buy if you actually needed them.

According to Pachter Fuse is going to sell more than 5 millions

http://www.gametrailers.com/videos/v...es-predictions

Let's see how it does ...

Also his ridiculous claim about the launch prices of the Xbox One and PS4:

http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/03/xbox-one-to-cost-399-ps4-for-349-says-pachter/comment-page-1/

We will see soon.

Patcher is a clown - but I think a more amusing thread could be made with all the stuff Kaz Hirai has said over the years about the competition.

Games can and should tell stories and share ideas through their mechanics. This is the intrinsic element of the medium and this is how experiences should be crafted in video games. No company does this as well as Nintendo and their echoes from the past.

"I have long been baffled as to why RTS games don’t work on consoles. I think it is partly because of the nature of the gameplay, it’s single-player and it’s turn-based."

lol.... Usually, I don't quote people like this but I had to. Pachter is such an idiot. If he is such a gamer like he states he is (states he plays a few hours a day which is more than me in most days I have work) then the fucking idiot should know the difference between TBS and RTS. Also, the single player comment for RTS.... Earth to Pachter... I used to play C&C (mainly Red Alert but I believe the first one also, RIP Westwood Studios) on dial up modem with friends.

So he trolls the public while making sound predictions to paid investors? Hard to believe. Why does he make himself look like an idiot to the public?

It is cool.  It is my favorite, if you can call it that, Pachter line.

So in his last show it seems that Pachter is calling out Iwata and giving his point of view about the WiiU.

I think that's astonishing that such an incompetent who has been wrong about everything in the past years if not ever can even dare to open his mouth on the subject and even criticize someone who has been right about everything in the past years. Instead of giving advices this guy should certainly observe and learn from Iwata, at least he would so perhaps have a little chance to predict something right once in a while in the future.

Of course Pachter will disagree with Iwata's strategy because he just hasn't got the knowledge or competence to understand this market as much as someone like Iwata does. Still that's very telling that some people are going to listen to guys like these instead of the ones that have proven that they know what they are talking about.
