Rumor: Monster Hunter 4 in the works for Vita alongside 3DS

Capcom pushed back the Japanese release of Monster Hunter 4 to summer. At the time, the company said it made the decision in order to improve the game’s quality. But Japanese magazine Game Lab offers a different reason: Monster Hunter 4 is also in the works for the PS Vita.

For what it’s worth, Game Lab’s rumors tend to be hit or miss. A considerable amount of its speculation never resulted in anything, but it was one of the first sources claiming that God Eater 2 would be made for the PS Vita. Turns out that was true.

It's probably both. Capcom never said it was exclusive to 3DS, just that 3DS was the platform they were making it on and that no other platforms had been announced. It's probably delayed to ensure quality, though. There's no reason to hold back the 3DS version just so the Vita version can be released simultaneously. The game would sell more copies if the versions released months apart.

It's a good thing if true. A flourishing rather than a floundering PS Vita is a good thing for the console market. The Vita versions' sales won't come close to the 3DS numbers, but at least it may help provide a chance for Vita to be at least moderately successful.

so if this true why no MH3 Ultimate
