Basically THQ had a great year but felt like the franchies weren't working for them anymore, sorry to any actual fans of those series, not a fan myself but I know some people do and would like to know about it.  The PS2 version of the new Destroy All Humans series was cancelled, which might mean trouble for PS2 fans in the future if game companies start pulling pretty good games from the system it could mean the end of the PS2's life sooner then expected.  The studio that was closed was Concrete Games, haven't heard of their studio before but that also means the end of their games which included one unannouced next-gen title.  Anything else just read the article.

At least Darksiders and Saints Row 2 haven't been cancelled. Wonder what their unannounced titles due in 2010 were.
