From the year 2000, desires for a new Pearl Harbor

Section V of Rebuilding America's Defenses, entitled "Creating Tomorrow's Dominant Force", includes the sentence: "Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor".

It's argued that PNAC (Project for a New American Century) members used the events of 9/11 as the "Pearl Harbor" that they needed in order to enact long-desired plans.  Vice President Dick Cheney has a member of the PNAC.

Nah, but I do believe that 9/11 was kind of like Pearl Harbor; an event which the government recieved fair warning about ahead of time.

you seem to be living in a fantasy world where everything and everyone is true to what they say and they have nothing to gain by doing harm to other people.

What kind of missile flies so low to the ground that it skips off the ground and takes out multiple objects to either side if its path (as if it had wings) before hitting its target, as opposed to a normal missile which would have struck its intended target coming in at a steep angle from above?

The side of the Pentagon that was hit had been recently reenforced just before the attack and as a result of extensive renovations was mostly empty of workers & critical documents.

I'm not sure if it was a plane or a missile that hit the Pentagon & I don't talk about things I don't know. I do however know that they claimed to have good video from blocks away of the plane flying into the Pentagon but only released a video from an on site camera that only showed before and after the "plane" flew past it's field of view so you can't even see a plane. I'm reluctant to say there was no plane at the Pentagon since I suspect the good video from blocks away is being withheld simply so that people will make claims that the government can discredit later by releasing it, which would also discredit everything that person has to say.

And the nearly 200 witnesses that saw the plane hit the Pentagon? What about them? Were they all in on it?

The no plane at the Pentagon straw man argument almost builds itself doesn't it? That's why I don't argue that. I guess everything I & others have said is just pure BS then.

The free fall speed collapse of the WTC is something I also don't discuss since it was done by timing the debris falling outside of the building, not the core structure itself.

These are two turds in the punch bowl.

1) The plane is going to be shredded and scattered amoungst the rubble of the building. I do believe they found a jet engine amoungst the wreckage.

2) Plane causes structural damage upon impact. Subsequent fire causes intense heat. This intense heat changes the structural properties of the metal frame of the building. This causes beams layed horizontally to sag and beams erected vertically to bow under the intense weight loads of several floors above them. Once one floor gives away a domino effect is started.
