Not really. Vita flopping is because 3DS has more software support and more casual appeal. Vita is the same price a tablet, where games are much cheaper and tablets in general are much more desired.

Wiiu flopping relates to the decline of the Wii brand in general. A 2012 console that doesn't have better graphics than a 7 year old console makes it completely worthless in most peoples books

I wouldn't group them together. Vita is just plain losing. WiiU is enjoying a head start.

PS vita failed because of not having one killer ip, not having an official price cut and bad word out of mouth, high price tag ( compared to 3ds) and to many ports instead of system sellers.

Wii U failed because- wrong advertising, no games after launch, to many ports.

I still think that people only dont knwo what to buy right now. Should they buy a PS3 or wait for PS4, should they buy x360 or the next x box., should the buy Wii U or a PS3. I think most peole really dont know what to buy and simply wait till they are convined for some product etc.

Wii U sales are dropping closer and closer to current Vita's sales numbers. I wouldn't call that "enjoying" anything.

I know Wii U will take off once Nintendo releases its 1st party games, but I think the cealing for Wii U is aroung 45 million units. Vita's is probably only a bit lower, but it can sell more games, especially 3rd party games.

Everyone's waiting for a next box or ps4.... I mean the only people I see that should be interested in the wii u are wii owners because its an upgrade or die hard nintendo fans, everyone else it would be like purchasing the same 7 year old console a ll over again!

No, both are overpriced for their market and both are not being supported properly by their manufacturers (Nintendo's crappy marketing of Wii U and Son'y crappy support of Vita releases). The 3DS was doing terribly until its price cut as well. Both of them need price cuts soon (especially the Vita).

I wouldnot call Wii U and Vita overpriced.
