360. Excellent controller, solid game library, great online service worth every penny.

Dont see what's so shocking about 360 having more votes than Wii. 360 had decent third party support, cant really say the same for Wii.

Xbox 360. I loved the online community aspect. I did experience the E74 error 2-3 years ago, but I was very happy with the warranty that covered it -- it's one of the reasons why I chose Microsoft this gen. I still had a bad taste in my mouth from PS2 disc read error problems... but this has lifted a bit since I've borrowed a Vita to play with. :) I know I'll pick up the 720, but that will be in a much later time. I feel my Xbox 360 is my PS2 of this gen.... and it even had my most favorite JRPG of this gen... LOST ODYSSEY ;)

The Wii was more of a novelty to me -- it wore off very quickly. I was very disappointed, but then again, I've grown as a gamer.

Most memorable moments:
LOST ODYSSEY, L4D, L4D2, Gears of War 2, Final Fantasy XIII, Halo 4 and even Persona 4 Arena

Recently:
Happy Wars. I know, I know, but it's really all around clean fun!

Everyone needs to play Lost Odyssey! Any opposition to this and I will have to just say, "If it's a fight you want, you got it!"

The 360.

Good online community, good digital store.

Very close second is the Wii thanks to Wii Sports and TP, MP3 and Galaxy. And very close behind is the PS3 with Uncharted.

I honestly think all 3 consoles shined this generation.

I started as a long tried and true PC game, but the Wii won me over.

Then I got a HD TV and the Wii lost it's appeal with all the blockiness. Then long debate over the Xbox 360 and the PS3. I had played on both the original Xbox and the PS1 and PS2. Because of Kinect I chose the X360.

Now I have all sort of video apps, movement/dance, party games, and an awesome like of hard core games. I think I made the best decision.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Well I have a story to tell :)

A short background. I'm 19, so unfortunately haven't been able to fully experience all video gaming gens to the fullest. Grew up with Nintendo consoles. Never owned the Ps1, but loved my Snes, N64, and Gamecube. Mario Kart, Super Mario 64/Galaxy, Donkey Kong, Super Smash Bros and Pokemon were my games of choice. Sold my gamecube to get a Ps2 and it became my love child (so many memories NFL street 2 and GTA). Obviously, wasn't in "hardcore gamer" mode yet, as I was young and stupid, so I missed out on so many great games (mainly RPG's).

It's now 2005. I sell my Ps2 and use the money to have my dad wait out in the cold morning for a launch Xbox 360. CHRISTMAS 2005 RAWKED MUH SAWKS. Call of Duty 2 and Xbox live still holds a place to my heart. Would stay with my beloved 360 until holidays of 2007 playing mainstream titles but missing out on gems like  BIoshock and Mass Effect (still young here), where I felt something was missing. I decided to sell my 360 to join most of my friends who then had Ps3s. Hesitant at first, I now look back at the greatest decision of my gaming life.

Almost six long years later, I'm 19 and still enjoying my Ps3 (upgraded to slim in 2010). Some of the things that set it apart include the XMB, download sharing, free online, PlayStation Plus, upgrading my harddrive (currently sitting on 1TB of EPICNESS) and the overall sleekness of the black beauty.

Now an educated gamer, I embark on my ever-going quest to experience unique visuals, storytelling, and gameplay that my Ps3 has to offer me. Long over are the days of Call of Duty 2 and Nfl street being stables to my gaming experience. NO. I now long for experiences such as Flower, Journey, Littlebigplanet, Ratchet & Clank A Crack in Time, Assassin's Creed 2, Prince of Persia (2008 <3), Skyrim, and Uncharted 2. Looking to add Ni No Kuni to this list hopefully if it lives up to my hype :D

Although not perfect (PSN hack, large installs, no cross game chat), my PlayStation Three system has offered me an experience of a lifetime that I wouldn't trade for anything else. I strengthened current relationships as well as made completely new ones. All in all, I've almost had to much fun from my Ps3. Which is why I choose it as the console that won my heart this generation.

HOWEVER. Now that I'm not a stupid young kid, I'm eager to see what this upcoming generation does for me because it'll be the first that I think I'll be able to fully experience from start to finish :)

Did you try the HD cable, its not going to look as good as the PS360 or even a hooked up laptop, but it does help ALOT

Wii won me at heart revisiting old time classics such as Mario, Donkey Kong and so on.

However, PS3 by far has been my gaming hub of choice since FXIII and have not looked back since.

Yes, even my old CRT style TV had RGB inputs so I got the upgraded cable.  I actually have a converter one, so with just a little switch is is a video only or HD depending on the TV (great when you bring it to people's houses.)

It does help.  I notice colours were brighter and clearer, but it just wasn't good enough - I still felt like I was missing something.  If the HD WiiU had come out in 2010 - I would have probably just upgraded to that, and not gotten one of the HD Twins.

But after the first day with my Xbox 360 - playing Reach in HD with my 5.1 sound - watching streaming trailers for BioShock Unlimited in HD.  It was clear I had move into a new world.

Some of my PS3/Wii friends started getting X360's too.  Now they all have them.

EDIT:  PS I was thinking of getting a PS3 one day and giving my folks my Blu-ray, but the latest Super Slip PS3 and some of the bonehead decisions - such as a door loading system - which I don't have room to access - has killed that plan.  Now I will just be getting a Next Gen, and unless something profoundly amazing from Sony, a Next Box.
