Forums - Music Discussion - If you love your Dad, this music video will make you cry.

This is a song that I wrote about my Dad. For better or for worse, when I've played this song for my friends and co-workers, several of them started sobbing, even the ones that still have their Dads--just warning you.....
Here's the link:

My question is:

do you think this song is a little bit tooooooo sad?
Like "depressing" sad?

My dad left the country when i was 7 and even before that he was actually never there, but for those people who had or still have the pleasure... please don't waste it, enjoy every single minute, every single moment and treasure those moments and memories (and that goes for anything in your life) take in consideration that maybe you have what others can only wish. Beautiful song.

Nice song but it was not that depressing or even that emotional. I'm not sure what made your "friends" and "co-workers" start bawling. Not my type of genre (i'm going to guess country)

Maybe it could be they're the sensitive type....don't know.....

Although recently, hospice of Hawaii has been using this video and my other video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j7-p3XcHWc4)

in their family support meetings for surviving family members who are grieving over a lost loved one.

Dude thats very good and touching thanks man

Thanks!

If you liked that music video, I wrote a sequel to that song.  As the first music video above is about recent loss, this other music video/song is about healing and moving on, and it's more uplifting:

Didn't know songs get sequels.

Anyway your song is pretty decent.

I don't have a dad that I would be too proud of, and I promise I have good reasons unlike many of us nowadays. But this song awakened a few things that I wasn't sure they still existed in me. It's been 3 years since I last spoke to him so maybe I should now.. I still doubt that I would but ah well. That was touching indeed man. I'm sure your father is out there smiling and being proud of you :)

Thanks!!

Wow!!

You made me feel like my music was actually worth something!!
