This info was taking from the npd thread at  neogaf http://www.gamasutra.com gave there estimation for ps3 sales at 635k, poster John Harker at neogaf who has the npd data but can't give numbers cause of NDA, says its way over on the estimation, never thought it would sell that bad.

No surprise really, the Playstation brand name have been diminish some what since the PS3 launch in the United States.

I told you its from the neogaf npd thread, making stuff up there is bannable and John Harker is well respected poster there with inside info, just look at his tag that they gave him.
