Contratry to the Sony is streching its studios too thin thread, I feel that this year will be the last year of PS3 exclusives, the same goes for the Xbox 360. 3rd parties will continue to support the system with their offerings to capitalize on the huge userbases. This will allow Microsoft to focus on the next xbox, and Sony will be down to supporting two platforms, the vita and next playstation.
I still feel that production wise, the PSP will be sold until 2014 to give Sony another 10 year system, the same for the PS3 (2017). Unlike the original xbox, the 360 will still be manufactured until at least 2016.

I too think this will be the last year for 1st party.
PSP late 2013 / early 14
360 mid to late 2015
PS3 late 2015 / early 2016

exclusives?
the 360 really only has 1 exclusive(gears) this year right? if 1 exclusive gives a system the chance to be able to say "the last year of exclusives" for that console then this will not be the last year of exclusives for ps3.
PS3 will definately have atleast 1 exclusive release next year
Edit: i might be wrong about the 360 only having gears this year though..
Double Edit: oh damn you said 1st party
you know what.. fuck it..

Mostly XBLA related.
___________
Xbox gets MGS5, FF15 (Versus), and Kingdom Hearts 3. All previously thought to be a PS exclusive.
An early sign that times are changing for the better.

That sounds likely. We shall see.

The Last Guardian is looking highly unlikely to be released this year so probably 2014 for PS3.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Persona 4 Arena
2. Wipeout HD
3. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
4. Street Fighter 4
5. Blazblue Continuum Shift

i see MS and Sony supporting XBLA and PSN with games for the next two years or so. lesser budgets, less risk and bigger install base

I don't think so, the focus will be PS4 from here on, but expect B tier PS3 exclusives still coming out in the next 2 years. We might even see AAA exclusives from the PS4 downscaled for PS3. For example GT6, with the big install base of PS3 Sony might do it if the game releases around PS4 launch.
