Forums - Gaming Discussion - So am i the only one who hated the stealth segments of Arkham City?

I loved the stealth sections. It was great lurking in the shadows, and picking them off one by one, watching them slowly getting more terrified. Maybe I'd mess with them as well, pick on one by chucking a few batarangs at him before finally taking him down and leaving him for his buddies to find. It's also great when you can properly lay a few traps, with exploding walls and such. The fire extinguishers also make for a great distraction.

When there are multiple guys with guns in small spaces, you just have to be quick when making your move. Pick a guy, take him down, get out before they all converge (there is usually somewhere to go that they cannot see/reach), repeat. Make use of the batarang upgrades so you can stun 2 or 3 at once if necessary, and then take down the guy (or guys) who go to see what happened.

The game was great the way it is. Sometimes I found it difficult, but most of the time it was quite easy. I played it on the new game plus mode the second time which is more difficult than Hard.

I've only played Asylum and the stealth segments are the main reason I'm interested in Arkham City. Can anyone tell me if there's a drastic change from Asylum?

i loved the stealth. it was too easy if anything.

My only problem with the game were sidequests...whoever made up arkham city sidequest system should be punched in the face with a brick. They appear randomly on map, and you can only finish them by doing the story and PRAYING that they appear somewhere on the map during the way. Sometimes, the continuous tasks don't even appear on map and you have to RESTART the game HOPING that they show up...its ridiculous

From what I remember from completing all the side missions, there is only one side mission where you would might to restart if you missed it. All the other side missions can be completed anytime you want after they appear, without penalty.

side quests show up on the map after you single out a Riddler man during combat and interrogating him.

I don't remember the specifics, but eventually you gain the ability to detect them with your detective vision. They appear with a green aura. First, you have to defeat any nearby enemies. Afterwards you can interrogate him by pressing the triangle button when near him.

Seriously. Sans stealth segments, the game would easily be top 50 material. With stealth segments? Blecch. There were only a few that didn't kill me at least five times or more, and never a one where it was possible to actually do it all stealth. Whoever i took down first would immediately lead to me getting caught in most cases, and then you just die, die, die.

You took Force Storm again, didn't you?

I warned you about this shit, you have to plan ahead
