NSMBU and nintendoland have both given be wow moments, and i bought the system to play them. But I think Mario Universe will the game that makes jaws drop. That team has shown they can make incredible titles.

ZombiU was pretty WOW for me. However, in the next few months Lego City Undercover, Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2 and Wonderful 101 all have the potential to do that. And obviously Rayman Legends.

Rayman Legends already Wow me, the art style in that game is beautiful. But if you are talking more graphically intense then it's going to be Retro's game.

Personally I think it'll be HD Zelda.  The first time I see Hyrule in stunning HD visuals (probably a unique style to it as well that will make it flourish) I just think I'm going to get a hankering for WiiU.  I have already seen Mario as stunning as I can imagine it in a full 3d game so while I'm sure that will come out first, I've actually grown quite bored with the series (bought Galaxy 2 and traded it in after finishing).  I'm not that excited for 3d Mario for some reason.  Maybe because I feel like he's already peaked.  Zelda however has a giant world and we've never seen Nintendo make a game that really shows it in full glory (SS looked great for a Wii game but the textures and jagged edges were simply awful).  The gamepad will also make navigation through all those items much easier and will be used in puzzle solving I'm sure so I'm excited to see how Ninty uses it other than for convenience.

It won't be Zelda, not this year.  The game is barely one year into development.  Much more likely to be a holiday 2014 release.

Lego City Undercover. Simple yet fun. Mostly likely though Pikmin 3, Metroid, Zelda and Mario Kart all would be super fun games.

Mario Galaxy was a masterpiece, the best Nintendo game of the last 10 years easily IMO.

Completely agree with Mario Galaxy being a masterpiece, and arguably the best from Nintendo over the past ten years. Although I think Wind Waker is right there with it. And Metroid Prime, although that might fall outside of the ten-year window.

But I disagree somewhat about Sunshine. Deciding to eschew the typical fire/ice/desert formula was a really unexpected and brave move by Nintendo -- something that should be applauded.

completely agree. Unique and design geniuses.  Metroid sequel I think will be the next contender i feel with the Wii-U as being the game of the next gen. Even the grandfather of video game said the first game he thought about with the wii-u is Metroid.

**The wii-u first wow game was Nintendo Land believe it or not especially when your park is all built up. I just bought it last week  The next wow game would prolly be Pikmin (definitely) or that Lego game (tbd)

NSMBU should be everyone's "WOW" game but I can see where you're going with this.

I don't think we will have another "WOW" game until they announce it at E3.
