Vita Games>3DS Games currently.

There nothing else that Sony can do. The Vita have good game out there, just no one want to jump in. I blame the PS3 for the Vita failure in America.

Kid Icarus, Resident Evil Revelations, Dillon's Rolling Western, Pushmo, ...

No, Vita have good games, but 3DS isn't inferior in this regard. They may be comparable with slight advantages on either side, depending which sort of game you prefer.

Don't get me wrong, I love my 3DS too but it in my opinion Vita games are more diverse. Currently the Vita  have good/great games in every single genre and you really can't say the same with the 3DS.

Well, I will not argue, as it is subjective, as I said before. So basically your view on the both game-libraries and my view on it is different. And that doesn't mean I think Vita has a bad library, I only think the one the 3DS is not worse.

im not worried...

i knew since the beggining that Vita would Flop i even made a thread.

Sony doesnt know anything about Handheld business, they should stick to home Consoles and leave the rest to Nintendo.

I'm not sure I'd describe PSV sales in America as "nightmarish" for not even having been on sale for a full year.

Change PSV for Wii U and "full year" for "two months".

Create a new IP that everyone will swarm over like Pokemon. Enough with the embarrassing ports and half-baked games.

That's not possible. Pokemon has built a fanbase over many years. You don't just create an IP and then it instantly sells tens of millions of units. It doesn't work like that. Nintendo has proved themselves with Pokemon like Sony has proved themselves with Gran Turismo. These franchises take time and effort to be turned into huge sellers. It's not an overnight thing.

This is not true in Pokemon's case, the 1st gen of Pokemon sold better than all its successive gens. What does Sony have? They next Mh can lift it in Japan , GT for europe, (is there a gigantic seller in NA? actually don't know this). But if even one of those are absent, the demand in that specific region plummets.

Pokemon actually WAS an overnight sensation, it suddenly released in Japan and took the country by storm (R/B/Y remain the best selling games in Japan to date) which just naturally spread to other regions. They need a brilliant creative new idea that can only be done on the VIta platform.

This thing needs the next big hit, it's not impossible as it has been done before by Nintendo multiple times. (Wii Sports? Came outta nowhere. Super Mario Bros? exploded onto the scene, there was no "Mario" fanbase before this game. I already mentioned Pokemon.)

@Bold - No...just no. That "game" is the most bundled game in the history of bundles. Also the reason I think that Pokemon was so successful at first is because hanheld gaming was just become relevant and people wanted that next "big" game to be released and that was pokemon. Hundreds of hours could be put into that game and there just was nothing like it on the market. It's hard to be innovative and creative in the gaming industry now because most of the things people think of already exist. It's something I tend to notice more now in the movie industry. I'm very rarely surprised or shocked by the ending of a movie, mostly because I've seen it all already.

And America for America and Europe

Still, it's been only two months and seems to be catching up with the Vita quite nicely. In just two months. And while PSV is basically a dead systems with no games left, we still haven't seen what the Wii U has in store.

Who has said that in this thread? Are you capable of posting anything else in Vita threads?

They had a point, the future success of a console shouldn't be judge on its launch. Remember the early days of PSP vs DS?

The sales during the christmas period were not nightmare numbers and now the holiday is over the numbers have obvious dropped, but they are double what the system was selling pre-november. In the west its sold on par with the Wii U this week, and is doing much fairer in Japan... In short things are not looking as bad as the OP is making it out to sound. Now what has to be done to raise the standard from 80/90k each week to around 200k is simple; Games+ Price.

The Vita still does not have killer apps, the 2 titles most people were pegging on were COD and Assasins creed but both received poor reviews. When was the last time we expected games with metacritics of 30 and 60 to save a system? In Japan It has a number of killer apps on the way in the form of Soul Sacrifice, One Piece and Gundam. Before these arrive there are a ton of smaller yet significant titles arriving in feb to provide small sale jumps, leading up to the sales explosion that is likely to occur in march. I predict we will see sales of 100k plus for at least one week. A price cut is not necessary in japan.

In the west things aren't looking as bright. All of the big Vita games coming out in Q1 are japanese centric, the complete opposite of what we saw during christmas. This means that there are arguably no big Vita games arriving in the west until april, although soul sacrifice could still launch in march over here, its looking unlikely. As such we must expect the hardware sales in the west for Q1 are going to be low. I'm assuming summer will alot brighter, with some big 1st party titles like soul sacrifice, Tearaway and Kill Zone likely to arrive in Q2.I think we might get release dates from the sony event in febuary, as well as the a glimpse at the Vita's fall line up, one title has already been confirmed.

Sony must invest in 3rd parties to make Vita releases more frequent and look for the right opportunities... Like a FFType 0 port which be done in no time, cost very little and sell a ton of Vita. Finally the psp is dead in NA but it still sold 100k this. Thats another part of the vita problem in japan, people are still buying Vitas and devs are supporting instead of Vita.

Grand Theft Auto, Call of Duty (but good), Monster Hunter, price cut.

SONY needs one of these to keep the Vita alive, all of these to make it a hit.

EDIT: Releasing sub-par spin offs of big franchises at the same time as their console counterparts isn't helping either. I won't even mention advertising quality.

Yeah, they could barely even sell over 70m handhelds last gen! I could puke, that is so little.

what about SW ?
