But exactly HOW bad? Lets say in comparison to the GCN, is it selling even worse than that?

He said its not meeting expecations. He's not dancing around the subject, he pretty much admitted isn't not selling well.
Give him credit for that.

You just contradicted youself. You say you didn't know what a Vita was, but that your friends have one?
It's not at "flop" levels just yet. It is however at very poor sales. You can't call something a flop until you get is lifetime sales. Or at the very least wait 2-3 more years and see where its at. I would have thought people would have learned by now not to count something out based on how PS3 turned things around and how its now the best selling console.

They probably are smart and had a range of sales. 4-8m or something.

Well NOW they have one, just not a couple months back when I 1st heard about on this site (Think it was like August or something). The 1st time my friends got one was on Black Friday.

No but seriously, In all honesty how bad is it actually doing? I know there's hope for future growth but compared to other consoles in their 1st year?

It'll be fine. That's all you have to worry about. Don't let poor sales prevent you from buying it.
I think Kaz Hirai is what the company needs as a CEO, He will admit when theres a problem then act on it. He will turn Sony around.

It's doing worse than the dreamcast. No matter how you put it, it's a travesty for Sony :(
