They are losing money because of the low ps2/psp sales. Not the PS3.
One day probably, but I honestly don't see Nintendo winning this upcoming generation with the Wii U, It is too early to call currently though.

Your right this will be a pretty even match! If nintendo wants to win its all about software. Great Games, They need a 120% in every IP!
the PS2 and PS1 was casual too i think they have both sold moe than the Wii in answer to someone saying Wii hit the casual first/alone
it is hard right now to see the WiiU marios hitting 25m,we are not talking handhelds of course for this thread,what did GC/N64 marios hit 10m?
the nes/snes dominated their game era
as of now i'll give the WiiU big hitters 12m,maybe some online RPG can smash it out the park but who knows

You're right. PS1 sold ~110Mil and PS2 is currently tracked at around 150Mil
