In the spam of just ….1 day, we had at least 3 or 4 threads about the Wii U selling bad or not making expectations and blah blah blah. Some of those aren't specifically doom threads but it shows a lot of negativity about the console, and why? The thing has only be out for less than 2 months and people are already getting worried or happy about its "low" sales (which doesn't makes much sense since is selling ok).

I'm wondering why this is the case, are Nintendo haters desperate to hit on the console? Are some other console fans want to make their consoles look better? This is getting crazy, not even the Vita had so many "doom" threads in so a short amount of time and unfortunately the thing is selling horrible.

It's clear the Wii U is selling at a nice paste, not as incredible as the Wii but better than the 360 and the PS3 at launch, so there is no reason for "doom" threads.

As Nintendo fans we all know how stupid this doom threads are, and I'm sure a lot of Sony fans felt (and are felling) the same way with the Vita. It's stupid how some have the need to say a consoles or handheld is doom , especially when it makes little sense.

Because its new. Same as Vita! Although WiiU seems to have taken the doom of vita.
The WiiU is doing good. It's new and a lot of people don't know about it yet. Lets just give it time :)

Mario can't even spell "doom", to busy selling insane amounts of games and systems.

I think the Wii took everyone by surprise and pushed Nintendo from last place "might be out of the business" to first place "Top Dog" so there's a backlash from that.

At the end of the day it's just video games though, I like having Mario, Link, Master Chief, AND Nathan Drake here.

Playing victim i see, its ok. Do like the Vita folks and make an official Wii U thread, or talk on Miiverse, nothing but good news on the Wii U front there.

The way things are.

Expect to see doom threads for the PS4 and the nextXbox as well. (maybe to a lesser extent, depending on things)

I would actually like to see someone make threads for vita and wii u where only people who say 'nice' things are allowed to talk. He is right. I've seen threads start when wii u is selling more then ps3 and 360 were at this point.

Playing the victim? No at all, like I said this threads make no sense at all, so I'm wondering why is the case. I bring the same situation as the Vita, the thing is doing pretty bad but people know most of the doom threads are stupid. I don't have a Wii U yet so I can't talk on Miiverse :(

What I'm wondering the most is why this thread have started so quickly, I was expecting them eventually but not as fast.
