man you are fast. I think thye will sell about the same.

Anyways, I think when Nintendo releases its games for 2013, it will warrant people picking up a new Wii U for the exclusives. Not sure we can say the same thing about PS3, (1) because I'm not sure what exclusives it has between now and E3, (2) its good holiday 2012 numbers will not continue (but I assume you can say the same about Wii U).

(not my best arguments above )

Before E3 this year?

Sly

God of War

The Last of Us

I'm sure there's more

Ok fair enough but, being a bit biased here for the sake of argument, PS3 elclusives don't sell very well and as a result don't really move systems. Case in point Resistance 3, Heavy Rain, LBP 2. Could be because of saturation of the market already with PS3s. Ultimately, Wii U has nowhere to go but up, but PS3 hs no where to go but down, after holiday 2012.

haha come on now man. What games in the time before E3 wiiu has compared to Gow and TLOU? The last of us especially will help move some hardware. There's a lot of anticipation behind that one. And GOW:A won't do as well as GOW3 BUT it's the sequel to the best selling hack and slash game of all time

and ps3 exclusives don't sell very well? Even if you are being biased (not a bit mind you) that's a stretch. Heck of the examples you gave Heavy Rain sold really really well. It pretty much exceeded all expectations of the game.

And this is without bringing in third party games into the mix.....this line up absolutely slaughters the wiiu one.

It really doesn't matter if the PS3 has many more exclusives than the Wii U. The PS3 has a lot more multiplats and 3rd party support than the Wii U. Essentially, the Wii U will be lacking potentially big games (exclusives and multiplats) that will release on the PS3.

Wii Fit U will move more consoles than Sly, Last of Us, and GOW combined.

I see the PS3 dying on its arse in Japan during this year.

No chance. Not with the exclusives coming out for PS3 this year. It'll continue its steady sales for another year, as has been evident with the PSP.

The PS3 has nowhere near the presence that the PSP had in Japan.  WiiU is seriously going to cut into its sales there.

OT:  It won't do double every week, but I think the PS3 will outsell it WW for most (if not all) of the weeks until June due to its cheaper price and strong lineup.  After E3 however...

Before E3 we got Pikmin3, Monster H3 and hopefully Bayonetta2. While I'm not sure any of these will do as well as GoW, at least one could sell as well or even better than TLOU, and thus move more consoles.

Well, you picked out the HR and I agree it did sell well , was just testing you - but the other two under performed especially R3.

As for 3rd parties, yeah this sucks, Nintendo should have a separte studio to help port games that developers seemingly don't have the interest in porting to the Wii U...like Bioshock

Strong point, and those 3rd party games I think will make the difference I agree - but I believe in the Nintendo magic o_0

If that doesn't work, PS3 has already saturated the market so while the software will sell, the actaul console wouldn't see any jump in numbers. So PS3 could sell the same or even worse than it normally does between Jan - June.

Really now? Wii Fit U will move $299 consoles? I must be really underestimating it then. Time will tell. When is it launching?

I think you are gonna be disappointed if you expect Bayonetta 2 before E3. Heck I wouldn't be surprised if it gets released next year. How much does Pikmin sell on average? I'm not really knowledgable about the franchise. Need to know this before comparing it to TLOU sales potential.

Test me for what exactly? You make such a broad and overly generalized statement (ignoring the likes of GOW, GT and UC) and nit picked on few...even then not all of them were bad sellers. You could at least use a game like say sorcery. R3 was destined to tank sadly. R2 made sure of that. Shame too..one of the best FPS campaigns this gen.

I don't expect good sales for the Wii U during the first two quarters but I also don't expect PS3 sales to be good enough to double sales of the Wii U. It will outsell it for sure though.

Double WiiU should be a tough target, but stranger things have happened.

Europe and Japan are gonna be key.
