It should be quite a fantastic year for the Wii U, but can Nintendo deliver? Especially during Q1-Q2 which seems to be where Nintendo drops off a cliff recently.

Hopefully 3rd party companies will jump on the platform during it's first year, but I'm more excited about the first party games, hope Nintendo shows something amazing, specially Retro's game.

Bet with ninjablade: 1 month sig control. He wins if the PS4 outsells the Wii U 2:1, I win if it doesn't. Based on the first 6 months of both consoles.

They need to announce and show off some games prior to E3, especially if the want to build up the proper amount of Hype for their fall releases. I'm very satisfied with my current purchases but at this point we need to know what else is coming!!!!

You can be sure they're going to release some big guns in November/December this year in an attempt to scupper the launches of the PS4 and 720. I'm expecting any two of the following:
1) Mario Kart U
2) 3D Mario
3) Retro's new game
4) Monolith Soft's new game
We'll probably see another Bayonetta 2-esque Megaton too.
We'll also see teasers of the new Zelda and two of the four titles I've listed above that aren't due for release in November/December I think.

For some reason I don't see a Mario Kart U happening this year. They'll want to save that for next year when Sony and MicroS are both on the market.

Looks like the Wii all over again in regards to support. We are still playing the hope/wait game for titles to be announced. Did Nintendo really have enough support to justify a new console launch? The upcoming lineup is filled with TBA, unnanounced projetcs and other small endeavours. Nothing big or spectacular so far from 3rd parties and not even from Nintendo save for NSMBU, but I think they overkilled the NSMBU franchise with so many games in such a short span.
Early adopters will really be frustrated if they find out that the line up is close to empty and the console sees a price drop this year. I still want to know what's coming up for the console, why create such mistery around it? Sales are starting to lag behind, people buy consoles because of software, not rumours or hype. And if it's because of hype, sales drop of a cliff suddenly, like what happened with the Wii.
Nintendo needs to be agressive, what will the investors when they miss their projections for the third year in a row?

Based on the pace Nintendo had set with the Wii in 2007, 2009, and 2010, Nintendo published far less games in 2011 and 2012 (probably) because they were working on Wii U projects. While we know some of these projects, there are (potentially) several teams that have been working on games for roughly 2 years that haven't been announced.
