^Lol, I've got 2,716! Anyway, I predict we won't see Android under 50% marketshare anytime soon

The IDC predicts that Android will have a marketshare of 44% in 2015.

I predict that they'll be more wrong than me.

IDC 2015 worldwide smartphone marketshare predictions:

Android: 44%

Windows Phone: 20%

iOS: 17%

Get iPhones then! They have Game Center which has achievements and points.

I currently have over 16K.

Time to create a new war with your friend.

I've got an iPhone 5! The achievements don't mean anything to me though.

*checks gamecentre*

Holy shit...I've only got 1,750 points!

If you're an Xbox gamer (I'm assuming you're a PS3 gamer), then there's alot of value in having a window phone, and I can't wait to get one.

I'm just a gamer.

When the 360 was the JRPG haven I had one. Bought it on Lost Odyssey release day.

Ah, there was once a time when people here called the 360 the JRPG King. Did you know that?

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

Lol, Windows above iOS screams "not going to happen" to me.

Yeah, I think iOS and WP should be the other way around.

Still, the overwhelming trend is that android will decline and WP will rise.

Where did the other 29% market share go? Unless your predicting RIM making an insane comeback :S

The numbers here don't surprise me tbh, Android and iOS aren't going anywhere soon.

Windows Phone simply too late to the party. This is not MS' market at all, I don't think they'll make a huge impact on this scene at all. Glad to see Android marketshare going up though but it has a long way to go!

"Looks like Sony are back to irrelevant again though."

Try Again there sparky:

Sony Mobile Says Closer Ties With Parent Help Win Market Share

The push has helped Tokyo-based Sony boost its global market share to at least 5 percent, Walker said, from 3.6 percent in the first quarter of last year.

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-01-08/sony-mobile-says-closer-ties-with-parent-help-win-market-share.html

while Windows Mobile has a decline in Marketshare? but yet Sony who has increased their market share is the one not relevant?

and

IDC cuts Windows Phone forecast:

IDC now says it expects Windows Phone to post 11.4 percent market share in 2016!

http://www.geekwire.com/2012/idc-cuts-windows-phone-forecast-sees-microsoft-2016/

so now from 20% to 11.5% by 2016?

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...

ps:

Proud psOne/2/3/p owner.  I survived Aplcalyps3 and all I got was this lousy Signature.

Windows Phone 8 has been just launched.
There are more Windows Phone 8 models now than we had all previous Win Phone models combined.

Within a quarter or two..Windows phone will see a good jump..due to being developer friendly as well as ecosystem friendly...(you get same API and platform to develop both Win and WP8 devices... and ecosystem with IE,Skydrive,Bing,Xbox) . (both of which made iOS a great platform)

Also Android came from back from iOS(almost nil marketshare) and went to gather the biggest marketshare right now because of its price.

So from these points..clearly Windows phone has the best of both other operating system..price/ecosystem/developer friendly.

It is just late to the party!..
So it will definitely become huge.. but not get the biggest marketshare.

Guess it's currently HTC and nokia(lumia 900 series) releasing with Windows 8. More phones to be released to help increase the marketshare.

How did Microsoft go down? LOL. Didn't the new fancy schmancy Lumia launch in October or November alongside the Windows 8 push?
