I think that the Wii U will sell between 2 and 3 times as many units as the PS-Vita but it is difficult to say which without knowing about price cuts, game announcements, and the release of new hardware ...

If Sony could reduce the price of the PS-Vita to $200 with a bundled memory card and game, and they can get some big game announcements at E3, the sales of the PS-Vita could pick up to a level where it would make it unlikely that any system will sell 3 times as many units. At the same time, if that doesn't happen and Nintendo gets some big game announcements they could easily sell more than 3 times as many units as the struggling PS-Vita.

My money's on Turkish or pezus.



My prediction threads:

Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)

PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)

Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Halo 4 first 9 weeks sales prediction

PS4 to be down YOY in 2015

I was looking for the "Wii U sells more than 7x more than Vita" option.

Edit: And seeing how the Wii U's launch is currenly outselling the ps3 and 360 launches I'd bet money that it does at least 4-5x the sales of the Vita.

It would be pathetic if the Wii U couldn't at least sell a tad more than Vita.

I predict 2x-3x more than Vita.

I did.  I personally beliee that the Wii U will continue to sell pretty good.  More importantly that this, the Vita sold about 4 million this year and that includes some very high profile releases and its launch which got the Vita quite a few numbers sold.  In 2013 where the launch lineup is no where near as impressive as before, no launch, probably no price cut, it will sell around 3 million at which point the Wii U can sell about 9 million.  Its not assured, but it's not that unlikely as you make it out to be.  I'm not hating on the Vita, its just that its sales aren't very encouraging.

Uhhhh, you're a bit confused...

Viper is calling out the people who actually think that Vita will outsell WiiU by 3 times, not the other way around.
