Yeah, that GameStick doesn't seem to be even a little step forward, it just has 4GB more memory. Not even more RAM or a better processor.

None of these Android or Apple TV devices are ever going to compete with real consoles or gaming pcs.

But I do like them.

By the end of this year (2013) you'll eat those words.

(For one I'd say my phone with Onlive pushed to my TV and sync'd with a remote already competes with a console or PC)

I have a Galaxy Note and while I've enjoyed many games on it have yet to play a game as kick ass as Halo 4. As for Onlive or any streaming game service it's not viable for me or half of the nation. You must live nice and close to an Onlive relay station if your getting 1080p lag free HD gaming. I can't even stream decent youtube quality without letting it buffer.

The reason I say Android and Apple TV gaming will never compete with consoles and PC is for one simple fact. Lowest common denominator. Android and iOS devs want their games to be purchasable and playable by the largest group possible. That means that they need to support Galaxy S right along side the Galaxy SIII. That means that no matter how great Gamestick or Ouya is they won't have games like Halo 4.

I might still buy one if it's cheap enough, but I'm still going to need a NextBox for Halo 5. And frankly, I'm not going to give up Halo 5 for the next N.O.V.A.
