This is in response to accusations that sonybmg was using botting to generate hits on their videos on youtube.

Billions of YouTube views have migrated to Vevo pages, following rumours that the video platform had cut the numbers due to hacking claims.
Before Christmas, Universal Music, Sony BMG and RCA Records appeared to lose around one billion views each after YouTube carried out a routine view count adjustment.
However, the company also recently decided to remove view counts for videos that are no longer live on the channel, a move which accounted for the majority of the lost views.
Universal and Sony have since moved the high-profile videos that once lived separately on the Universal and Sony YouTube channels to Vevo.

I dislike vevo. Quite a bit. Was there proof that they did this?

Do us another favor Sony and pull the vevo ads off youtube. Also, the songs that they have on youtube are always censored. Fuck censorship. I use to use youtube to make a playlist and listen to songs that I didn't have. Then they started pulling a lot of my playlist due to copyright. Then they added more ads. Now I just use Pandora.

It was just a joke, since I am aware you have a youtube account. Calm down.
Euphoria's post pretty much sums up how VEVO factors into youtube.
