I'm only getting a new Xbox if Microsoft stops charging for online play. Or they up the value of Xbox Live Gold compared to PlayStation Plus.

The current value of XBL Gold is simply insulting, if they don't improve I'm going PlayStation 4-only all the way.

It's very likely that I'll buy it at some point, but also likely that it won't be at launch. I'm going to wait for the games library to expand and to make sure the hardware doesn't have major issues. However, I'm unhappy with microsoft not focusing as much about first party games (Crackdown, Viva Pinata seem to be finished) as it did early on in the Xbox 360's lifespan and this will make it less likely that I buy it as early as I would have otherwise.

If there is a distinct lack of exclusive games then I'll wait a while to buy one, because in the end that's the number one reason to buy a new system for me. I'm not as excited about next gen Halo, Gears of War and Forza as other people are. A good next gen Fable game or something interesting from Rare will do more to convince me to buy the nextbox I think at this point.

Gears of War was one of the major reasons I bought an Xbox 360 the first time, but a next gen Gears of War won't grab my attention like the original did (I haven't played Gears 3 and am not overly excited about Judgement). Assuming both PS4 and Nextbox have similar pricing and power then whichever one has the more interesting looking exclusives (which will be mostly first party most likely) will be the one I buy first.

Luckily, I don't play online games  on Xbox Live so I'm fine with them charging for it (and I think they will continue to do that) because I'll keep a Silver Account, but if I want to play something online it'll be on the next Playstation at this rate. I just started using the PS+ and I think it's a great value, I hope Sony doesn't change the PS+ or charge for online play next generation, the only problem I have is running out of space on the PS3 with all the free Playstation plus games...

This.

Until at least the basic ability to play online is included in XBL silver and some exclusive IP's that are not Kinect-games, Halo, Gears of War or Forza (I'm not saying these are bad games, I'm just not interested in them) are being developed I'm not going to buy a Xbox720. I think the PS4's software library will fit me better.

Most likely not... but only time will tell after specs and games are announced

Microsoft has not shown me a single exclusive title that I'd like to play, except Shadow Complex. Their strategy for development has either been too testosterone driven or too inane to warrant a purchase. Granted, there are several multiplat titles on their system that look interesting enough...but until I see the PS4 and see whether some of those franchises end up on the WiiU, I don't see a reason to purchase another machine.

Not if you'd like to (or have) a life outside of gaming.  Seriously, there are usually so many games on one system that I'd get nothing else done in this short life I have if I decided to play games from all three systems.  I'm all for this non-fanboy stance, but seriously, there's a sun outside, grass to play in, books to read, board games to play, instruments to learn, etc.

The 360 tripled the sales of the XBox1.. but I think any increase of sales over the XB 360 sales - is still an increase.. Even if they just boost sales 5% worldwide ( I think it'll be more like 10% ) it's really the only advantage they need..
The PS4 can't be dominate without getting North America back.. And that'll be a tough task at hand considering in North America 360 sales are about 43 million versus 25 million PS3's.. The PS2 sales in North America kept it king.. The PS4 will still be 2nd or 3rd place with North America
