i never heard anyone say good things about Revelations, it got the worst reviews in AC games. it was avarage reviews as i remember, why would you call it overrated?


Assassin's Creed in general is overrated in my opinion. We still don't know anything about the main story after thousands of games and people are still excited.

CoD is just the same game every year but people love it lol.

ohh, well i agree in general. im a big AC fan but its certainly over rated with the exception of AC2, that game was simply amazing

Either you are exaggerating or you don't know what you're talking about.  There are plenty of Nintendo games that do not sell well or get much attention.  Maybe not the majority of them, but enough of them to say for a fact that not all of them are "overrated."  Of course, no game can be objectively overrated as someone could legitimately enjoy a game so much that it feels to them it deserves its sales/praise/whatever.


true, i didnt mean all nintendo games and didnt even notice i typed that. what i ment was a lot of nintendo games, sepcially their biggest IP's

GT5. The franchises best days are behind it yet it still sells.



Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

Sales have nothing to do with a game being overrated. A game is overrated if it's rated better than it should be. With that said, GT5 is the worst rated main Gran Turismo game. So, using your own measures for how it should be rated (not being the best game in the franchise), its rating is actually similar to what you think it should be.

Like COD is now getting metacritics in the 80's but is still being bought by the tens of millions. Thats being overrated. Your logic would say that COD is a 70's franchise and is thus overrated. I just think the term overrated always referred to fans rating and praising a game more then deserved.

People say CoD is overrated because its rated higher than what they think it should be, not because its popular. A game is overrated based on ratings, hence why its called overrated. I would never say its overrated because people enjoy it. Just like you don't hear people calling Twilight overrated. Even though its popular, its ratings are already crap. It's not rated highly, so there's no point in calling it overrated.
