Forums - Nintendo Discussion - WiiU Black Ops 2 VGChartz Players

Been playing it constantly. The MP is even more fun with motion controls and I get my own screen while my cousins switch using the gamepad. The community seems less annoying than the playstation community from my experience though that might be due to even less people having mics. I think that I would be down to play some matches online but I got a terrible connection.

The community on the Wii U is nicer than the xbox and playstation community, you dont get many people camping or biebers shouting at you, my problem is that wii u online has lag issues, sometimes it can be unplayable.
Ive got a 2.27 kdr with 1.90 win ratio, but ive playing cod for a very long time. Just keep at it friendos and you will definitely improve, i started very average now im pretty decent.

I didn't run into any lag issues when I tried it out, but you heard people shouting at you?  I didn't hear anything. I thought I had voice chat enabled but no one was saying anything I guess.

Do you have to have a headset?

i encounter lag at specific times, so i avoid playing at afternoon, i think it is because i am playing with player from overseas.

I have headsets and i havent had a single person shout at me with is a change from the xbox/ps3 community. But most games ive seen, dont have players chatting, so that could be the reason, i usually use the headsets to sound whore players footsteps, chatting with strangers is awkward for me and very distracting.

Bet with ninjablade:

Ninjablade wins if the next 5 multiplat on the wii u are inferior to the 360 version.

I win if one of the 5 mulitplats are on par or superior on the Wii U.

If I do decide to get this I'd be up for it.

How is the multiplayer?

Very fast and smooth for me with my connection. Started off with very few players at any time, but now the average number appears to be about 3000 and growing.

He is right. The games come and go fast. Its impressive. Doesn't take long. It WILL continue growing.

I have 2-3 green bars consistently. I had few lags here and there (3 out of 10 games would have warps) but once HOST MIGRATES it is set and stone. I suspect is that those people are overseas.  All in all the online gaming experience on the Wii-U while playing Call of Duty is A- ** This is coming from a PC gamer (WOW, Counter Strike, Diablo III)

that is very true.

I'm buying Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 & ZombiU with a Wii U next month.  I might get Mario Bros U also since I haven't owned my own Mario game on any console since the NES, and Mario is always fun. I already bought Assassins Creed 3 for the Wii U ahead of time.

@Ryan when I've been playing online there have been at least several thousand and match making has been quick.

Several Thousand? Yowzers. I'm used to seeing 600,000!

You are used to playing the game on a system that has sold 70 nillion units and has been out for over six years. So long as you can find games quickly there is no real difference between a few thousand and a few million, you only get to play with like 17 of them at once.

I just hope this game keeps the numbers consistent or keeps rising (as they have been).

Well the console just came out & BO2 came out on the PS3/XBOX 360 weeks ahead of the Wii U's release.  Heck, I haven't even bought a Wii U yet.  But I plan on buying one next month.  I will be buying BO2 on Wii U also.

There's is a difference. For a Wii U, it would be much harder to find a match than on PS3/360. Like someone in the first page said, they keep getting "server full" messages. Also, if you play one of the modes besides TDM such as Capture The Flag of Domination, finding a match would be very difficult . For example, If I"m playing a match of Domination and my team sucks, I quit and search for another match...on Wii U you'd end up joining the same exact match you left.
