Not sure how it works outside of the US, but here we do not make much on the console itself. Usually the profit margin is very very small.

Most of the profit is made on game and accessory sales.

eBay is great by the way. Even here in the US if you want a Wii U you can just go on eBay and grab one for less than the retail price.

Latest Wii U premium went for $340 with shipping included. The one before that went for $372, which included a basic WiiU ($250) + Nintendoland + NSMBU + WiiU Pro Controller.

Not bad if you're looking for one.

It's interesting how much profit they make compared to how it is in the US as Euphoria mentioned.

the prices in Sweden went from low to high pretty fast.
