This isn't a doom thread, but an actual question. Hypothetically what would happen if Microsoft dropped the Xbox 360? How would you as a consumer feel about this? Would you continue to support their future consoles?
As I said this is a hypothetical question and I don't believe they will drop it, but I did want to ask since many people do believe they will.

They'll move on to pushing its successor.

They essentially dropped the original xbox before the 360 came out, there wasnt any negative consumer backlash then. It wouldnt be a big deal.
That being said, microsoft would be stupid to do it with their much more successful 360 console and it is a hypothetical with little chance of happening anytime soon...

I already have one so kind of irrelevant to me. Do you mean they drop support for XBL on the 360 and all that as well? Because in that case I'd be a bit upset.
But as for if it would effect my next gen choice...I'm still open to influence...I haven't made my mind up on the PS4 or Next Xbox yet so something like that could definitely affect my choice.

Seeing as you took the sarcasm route
Really? You believe that they will still be supporting it in, lets say, 2100?

No, many people don't believe they will, and no, they won't.
The original Xbox was dropped for very specific reasons that don't apply now.
