it gives me an opportunity to show off my epeen as my computer laughs off those system specs.

So ... xbox360 and PS3 can definitely run Crysis :p

I appreciate the logic used but if you step back a sec you will see that it assumes all devs are created equal...which they aren't. Crytek optimized the crap out of Crysis, where ubsisoft has a track record of having optimization issues on the PC (I've been dealing with them for a while).

Thats not to say Crysis can't run on those platforms, just that you shouldn't expect it at full settings or probably anything near it.

edit:

@topic,

You can see how your rig stacks up for this game if you go here, keep in mind this is a rough estimate.

Will give you results in this format so you can visually see where you are.

Xbox 360 and PS3 has damn strong CPUs, strong GPUs (lacks newer functions, a bit in high resolution and perhaps detail).  And then there ain't much RAM to talk about. But I think they can run Crysis and other games with better graphics, but there will always be computers more capable with better graphics in almost every game.

Unfortunately "strong" is a realative term in this case.

I'm not entirely sure where you're going when you say...

"But I think they can run Crysis and other games with better graphics"
If you're saying you think the consoles can run the game better than a gaming PC then you're flatly wrong. If you're saying they can run the game at a decent resolution then I agree with good optimisation (and thus good devs) you could get Crysis running with a mixture of medium and a few high settings on a 720p or lower resolution.

To Each Man, Responsibility

ill be able to play it,but i wont buy it

tag:"reviews only matter for the real hardcore gamer"

errr. last time I checked the PS3 nor the Xbox360 had 2gigs of ram...

Something seems odd with those requirements. Too bad that game gave me nightmares and forced me to retire my PS3 as a gaming console.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
