Forums - General Discussion - Have you ever forgot about new games you bought?

I just got done rearranging my games and saw some that I never got around to playing. Don't ask I just forget I some of the game I do. But I have had Dark Souls, Deux Ex Human Revolution, Kingdom of Amular, and Brink just sitting in my room for I don't know how long. Have anyone else done this 'cause I'm kind of surprised I forgot all about them.

I have done this a LOT. I still have unopened games that sitting on my shelf that I don't even know how it got there. For example I did a inventory on my games a month ago I found out that I have Uncharted 3 unopened sitting there for how long I don't know. This surprise me a bit because I never intended to buy Uncharted 3 in the first place.

I do that all the time! A few days ago I realised that I had Silent Hill: Shattered Memories sitting on my shelf just waiting to be played with, and I have no idea how I got it...

No...I don't get that many games, that's why.

Yeah. I spread all my Nintendo games around so they gather dust for me.
I need to get a good vacuum somehow.

I don't so much forget but more don't get around to playing the games as too many good games in bulk.

So I may get 4-5 games and end up playing 1 of them and then the next 5 good games come out and the cycle repeats.

I remember back when I bought Metroid Prime 3 and was super exited after playing Metroid Prime 2 to death. Then the game ended up sitting on my shelf for months, practically forgotten.

Sad thing is when I finally decided to play it, it was a huge letdown. Graphics were shit, Gamecube controllers were incompatible (yeah, I should have seen that coming) and there was no multiplayer. From start it was obvious that Nintendo/Retro tried to evolve the series with lots of (poor) character interaction and such, but compared to other games released at the same time it was just terrible, in my opinion. I wanted a game that surpassed Metroid Prime 2, not a game taking a different path.

Other than that, no. I always play the games the same day I buy them.

Sometimes, i just leave some games a few months after buying before playing them again. It depends on the game and how hyped i am for it

That's funny a friend of mine had Uncharted 1 and 2 at his house, and when I asked him how good the game is. He just stared at me with a blank face, he didn't even kind those games were in his room.

That kind of thing always pisses me off, when you play a new game in a series you like and it has changes that either it should of never had, or just weren't done right. Really what are they saying to themself to think that those weren't problems in the game?
