Journey beat out Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, Dishonored, Guild Wars 2, Mark of the Ninja, Spelunky, X-COM, Zero Escape and The Walking Dead.

Journey also took the win over at IGN, The GameCity prize, Amazon and more.

Do note that there are a ton of awards taking place so there will be more for every game really.

Let's also not forget the grammy nomination its score got!

Huge props to Journey. As a musician, I really love the soundtrack. The music does a superb job at catching the moment. The cello... O_O sounds so good.

Seems like every GOTY award is going to either Journey or The Walking Dead, I'm not complaining but Dishonored needs some love too.

15 bucks downloadable games winning overall GOTYs just show how weak this year was.

It is an amazing game but I honestly have to agree a bit.

Last year we had like so many games up to that quality. This year really lacked and nearly every sequel really disappointed peers in one way or the other.

Next Year The Last of Us will probably dominate and GOW:A will get overshadowed by its awesomeness

It really is hard to say considering its a new IP. Like.. we really dont know if it'll reach the greatness of Uncharted. I sure hope so but it is hard to tell without actually playing the game. But yeah, its possible :P. Itll be a stellar year though so im not too sure regarding its domination. GTA, Bioshock etc
