Pokemon series set to evolve in 2013

The latest issue of Nintendo Dream has features a greeting card from GameFreak. This card features a message from Junichi Masuda. The message, while short, says GameFreak intends to further evolve the world of Pokémon in 2013. Vague, but at least it's something to look forward to! Thanks to VGAMER for the heads up!
Well it seems that Japan will be getting something regarding Pokémon next year. Some people have speculated that it might be Gen 6. 
I think that it also Gen 6, I also think that this new evolution might be taking the Pokémon franchise into the 3D enviroment, for the 3DS. If not, then this game (if it is a game) might be a Wii U game and not a spin-off, like the past pokémon home console games.

I think it's a little too early for gen VI, I'm thinking it will be a remake of gen III since that that seems like the one next in line for a remake...they'll just add in new content...

Apparently there are over 3.563145 x 10^11559 possible drawings on with a black-and-white canvas of 320x120 pixels.

Agreed. I can't stand seeing them in the 3DS Pokedex. They just look so wrong.

Finally in full 3d hopefully.

Going by Japan dates:

Gen I: February 27, 1996 - November 21, 1999

3 years, 8 months, 25 days

 

Gen II: November 21, 1999 - November 21, 2002

3 years

 

Gen III: November 21, 2002 - September 28, 2006

3 years, 10 months, 7 days

 

Gen IV: September 28, 2006 - September 18, 2010

3 years, 11 months, 21 days

 

Gen V has lasted 2 years, 3 months, 6 days

 

Going off these numbers I'd say we are defintely gonna see some Gen VI info in 2013, but it might not come to Japan (at the earliest) till early 2014, with the US in fall 2014.

Though I'm hoping for a Wii U pokemon game more.

I've always thought of hand drawn characters in a 3D enviroment, or maybe something in this ''line'' i don't know, but please no 3D pokemon models... ugh.

It will probably be a WiiU title. As someone pointed out a generation usually last 3+ years. And the Pokemon console game for the Wii was early in it life. (i.e. They need one for gen V.) But I would like a little meat on it have Genius Sonority do an RPG simular to the Gamecube ones.

It will NOT be a main series pokemon game. Seriously OP, how gullible do you have to be to believe it's a gen VI game on an entirely new hardware? They need a lot of time for that, at least 2-3 years for the next pokemon main series game.
