Yeah, DKCR was really tough. I tried to get all shiny gold medals as I went along, but I couldn't and I never finished the game because of that.

OT: I agree, but for a different reason. I want them to work on something different. They're so talented, I wanna see what else they can do.

I thought it was better than the original DKC to be honest (and I love that game) the difficulty was great. If Retro made a sequal it'd be a day one buy for me.

I would die for a 3DS DK Contry...from Retro

Now now. We just averted end of the world. Let's not talk about death mmkay.

OT: Have only played the first level at friend's house but i've heard they get pretty hard/annoying later on. I really don't have a strong opinion on it though.

They did a good job on DK, I'd prefer they were working on some other IP (Star Fox or F-Zero) but another Donkey Kong game would be fine.

I'm not a fan of sarcasticly diffiult games.

I am having a similar problem with Sonic and all stars racing transformed. They tell you theres an easy and normal settings and an hard and extra hard, but in reality its normal, hard, very hard, insanely hard.

When normal mode only allows for 2 mistakes before you lost, i dont call that a normal mode. It removes the fun out of the simple joy of playing the game and turns it into anger and frustration.

I thought the game was good, but making the roll move motion-based was an abysmal design choice that really brought the appeal down for me. That and having to time your button press for a high bounce off of enemies as opposed to just holding down the button ala Mario. Finally, DK's slippery control... not a fan.

The visuals were spectacular, though.

I agree with you. They should be developing the NSMB games because they showed they can do a better job with 2d platformers that the team that is handling the NSMB games.

I liked the game
but its in no way similar to the original trilogy

i'll take it you are too young to have owned a NES or SNES...

They should do something better than just an FPS or 2D Platformer. Maybe a more GTA or RPG style game.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.
