Period!

The game began challenging. Here and there a very difficult letter/puzzel piece to get. It's wasn't fun when i died trying to get those, but it challenged me to do better. And that was fine.

But then i got to the Cave Levels...

Those are just awfull. That's not about challenge. It's about pissing off the player. It gets so aggravating it's making me hate Donkey Kong himself.

Who playtested those cave levels? How the h*ll did Shigeru Miyamoto approve of this?

Who ever said that was fun, should be put into a barrel, and pounded by Donkey Kong. Pounded!!

Once again: I believe Retro studios should never make a Donkey Kong game again!

I would die for a 3DS DK Contry...from Retro

What are you talking about? DKCR was one of the best platformers alongside Galaxy this generation.

However I don't want Retro to make another Donkey Kong simply because I want them to create something new and unique by themself instead of forcing them to do another Nintendo francise.

Even though I loved DKCR, I don't want them to do another DKC game, I would prefer a Metroid or Star Fox game.

I heard a rumor that a small team at Retro is working on Donkey Kong Land Returns for 3DS

In my opinion, Retro did a much better job of capturing the 'essence' of the DKC games than Nintendo has in capturing the 'essence' of SMB1-3/World with the NSMB games.

With the (very annoying) exception of forced waggle, I was very pleased with the DKC Returns.

I agree with most of what you said, but just as an aside, I don't believe Miyamoto had any involvement in the development of the game except for telling Iwata and Kanabe he wanted someone to make a new DK game.  I think that was pretty much his only contribution, just expressing a desire that someone make a DK game.

I liked DKCR enough, but I think it actually really missed the "essence" of the original DKC trilogy and fell way short of DKC2 (obviously the best one...right?).  The main issue I had with DKCR was how often I felt like I needed to stop moving, whether to ground pound something or to blow a flower thing.  Sure there were some instances of stopping in the original DKC but they were much fewer.  Those SNES DKC games were all about smooth forward movement rolling and bouncing on enemies continually as you progressed (in addition to looking very high tech for the time and have some of the best sound tracks in gaming to this day).  I still liked it, but I think somehow Rayman Origins somehow captures more of what I loved from the SNES DKCs.  I hope retro goes back to Metroid or some else like Starfox....maybe even Zelda to really give that franchise a kick.

I hated the cave. Had the White Donkey Kong take me through pretty much that whole world, then bitched about such here on VGC

They (mostly Rol) told me to shut up and suck it up.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.
