It just launched in Japan and I fully expect WiiU to be successful in Japan for a number for reasons - although the combination of Mario, Monster Hunter and Dragon Quest is probably sufficient.
It is the rest of the world were WiiU has to prove itself. And it is the rest of the world where we will all be watching the sales closely over the next few months.
I'm not surprised (not pleased either) that it's outsold by 360/PS3 - which isn't uncommon for new system launches. But I am surprised to see the weak selling Wii outselling WiiU by 30k in Europe.
Would love to know what the stock situation is like there and what kind of marketing Nintendo has going. Why isn't WiiU selling better? I expected it to be sold out until Feb at least.
