I agree. Luigi's Mansion on the GC was way too short for me.
More information about Mirror of Fate is certainly good news for me. That game is shaping up to look very good

XSEED is localizing a new Japanese 3DS title for North America. This summer, gamers can get their hands on Rune Factory 4.
Natsume has traditionally localized the Rune Factory releases in North America. In the past, Natsume has almost always handled the games’ publishing duties in the states.

I thought that they were just going to release a new Layton this year. which I thought would then be PW VS PL. If you have a source can you post it, thank you.

"on 3DS, more JP titles will be released overseas for 3rd party like Professor Layton." from the Nintendo Results Briefing. Reading it again, seems like they were using it as an example of a series going to be localized or saying the title itself is going to be localized. Kinda vague.
